distilled score for installation

Tracy and I are entering our final week in studio together and we’ll be sharing our process with the public this coming weekend (April 27 & 28) in an installation format.  Below is my distilled score for the installation.  The 5 stages of the sequence refer to the medium (paper) that Tracy and I work with throughout.  She begins as a painter and I as a dancer, but body and painting intersect in the “sculpture” stage, at which point our respective practices fall away.  The more we work, the sequence becomes less linear and the “general practices” of improvisation pervade the entire effort.

General practices  (of improvisation)
