The Slow Line (2010-present)

Ongoing improvisational practice with painter Tracy Taylor Grubbs.  In various locations in San Francisco’s financial district, Mohr and Grubbs unfurl a long roll of paper the length of a city block.  Graphite in hand, the two take an hour to roll towards each other, mark-making in response to a shifting environment. Their slowly rolling, vulnerable bodies offer a different relationship to time than that of the task-oriented commuters and construction crews.
