CAMERON GROWDEN received his dance training from Beloit College, or rather, stumbled into it in an attempt to get a spot in the production of Guys and Dolls. As it turned out, he would have had no trouble making the cast and found dance to be refreshing. He stuck with it and graduated with a degree in dance and creative writing, then moved to San Francisco. This is his fourth season dancing with Hope Mohr; he also dances with kelly kemp & co. and Scott Wells and dancers. |
DEREK HARRIS is a multi-disciplinary artist from Oklahoma City. ROCHE JANKEN, a Los Angeles native, studied ballet nomadically beginning at age four. Fortunately, she encountered modern dance in high school and fell in love. She attended the University of Michigan, and earned a BFA in Dance and a BGS in Political Science. She then moved to New York and worked with Bill T. Jones, Stephen Petronio, Shen Wei and Mark Morris. After 2 years, she was ready to change her MO from "achieve" to "enjoy", so she returned to California. Since moving to San Francisco, she has had the pleasure of dancing for some amazing women, including Kelly Kemp, Hope Mohr, Leyya Tawiil and Alison Williams. She is thrilled to be living on the best coast, riding her bike, eating fresh fruit, hanging out with new and old friends, finding clothes on the street, teaching yoga and of course dancing. |
